At 26, Mark Masai has acquired what many his age and older would covet an opportunity on the international platform. He started his career in his home-country Kenya, as a news presenter on a local radio station.
After successfully completing his undergraduate studies and emerging with a Degree in Social Communication, another leading radio station was fast to enlist his talent where he honed his skill as a news presenter and budding journalist.
It wasn’t long after that Mark was able to get the attention of several local TV stations from the radio waves and he managed to get an opportunity to work with the Nation Media Group as a news anchor and reporter with a keen interest in humanitarian and environmental stories.
After 3 years at NMG’s Nation Television (a large media group in East and Central Africa- NDRL) which he had joined at the age of 22, possibly as one of the youngest locally. The rising China Central Television came at a time when Mark was considering taking his career to the next level- and what better way than the global scene with CCTV Africa to give the world the real picture of Africa.
